Certification data for food buyers

To develop premium brands and market differentiation, retailers are looking for a special edge.  If this is to include standards and independent inspections then many data issues arise; what data should producers and certifiers supply, how quickly should it be distributed and who should have access to what?  New service developements are strongly influenced by the needs of the buying chain, from co-op to consumer.
